Lemon Oregano Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Juice of 1 lemon 2-3 tbsp
  • 3 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pink salt
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 8 drumsticks approx 3 lbs

Instructions
 

  • Mix the marinade (everything except for the chicken).
  • In either a Ziploc bag, glass dish, or container place the drumsticks. Pour marinade over. Mix so that each piece of chicken is fully covered.
  • Marinade for at least 1 hour but preferably overnight.*

For the grill

  • Preheat the grill to 325°F.
  • Add drumsticks to the grill. Grill each side for approx 12-15 minutes.
  • Use an instant-read thermometer in the thickest part of the meat (without touching the bone) and make sure each piece reaches 165°F.

For the oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Add drumsticks to a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until the meat temperature (in the thickest portion of the meat) reaches 165°F.
